We believe that technology should serve biology, not the other way around. An implant is not simply a mechanical device that replaces a missing tooth. It becomes part of a biological environment, and every decision regarding its material, surface, design and clinical application can influence the way the surrounding tissue responds.

 

This is why we believe materials matter. They matter at the moment of placement, they matter during healing, and they continue to matter long after treatment has been completed. For us, implant development therefore cannot focus on mechanical performance alone. It must also consider biocompatibility, tissue interaction, material behavior and the long-term relationship between the implant and the human body.

We also learn from real clinical cases, because clinical reality often reveals questions that cannot be answered in theory alone.

This continuous exchange shapes the way we develop our products.

 

This philosophy has guided the development of our BIO-X glass-ceramic technology and the MERIDIAN® Implant System.

 

Our ambition was never simply to create another ceramic implant. We wanted to rethink what ceramic implantology could become when biology, materials science and clinical application are considered together from the beginning.

 We believe it will increasingly focus on the relationship between the implanted material and the surrounding tissue.
